Thomas M. Hancock


Thomas M. Hancock joined Murphy Appraisal Services in 2010, and is a state certified general real estate appraiser in Louisiana and Mississippi. Mr. Hancock has appraised an array of commercial property types including vacant land, industrial properties, shopping centers, net lease properties, office properties, historic properties, and small to large scale multifamily apartment complexes. In addition to appraisal practice, Mr. Hancock also serves as a consultant to various private clients, and is a licensed real estate agent with 10/12 Properties. In January of 2015, Mr. Hancock was admitted as a Candidate for Designation in the Appraisal Institute, slated to receive the MAI designation in 2018.

Mr. Hancock is a Nashville native, where he attended Montgomery Bell Academy. He graduated from University of Tennessee, where he majored in marketing and logistics and minored in operations management. While in college, he served as president of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and also served as a student senator on the University of Tennessee Student Government.

Mr. Hancock currently resides in Uptown New Orleans.  He enjoys playing golf, University of Tennessee athletics, New Orleans Saints football, New Orleans cuisine and Mardi Gras. Mr. Hancock is an active parishioner of Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church, and a volunteer committee member with American Cancer Society, Audubon Nature Institute, and The National World War II Museum.
